Actor Sudeep, wife file for divorce

Eega fame Sudeep and his wife Priya Radhakrishnan filed for divorce here on Friday, a family source said.

They have mutually agreed to separate from their 14-year long marital relationship. According to a source close to Sudeep's family, his wife filed for divorce in a family court.

"Sudeep has agreed to pay Rs.19 crore as compensation to Priya. He even consented for Priya to have the custody of their daughter," the source told. Sudeep married Priya, a native from Kerala, in 2001. The couple have an 11-year old daughter named Saanvi.

The source said the couple has separated due to compatibility issues. Besides acting, Sudeep has also directed and produced films. He has also starred in a few Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films.

As a director, he's known for hit films such as "Kempegowda", "Maanikya" and "My Autograph".

Sudeep's Epic Challenge to Rajamouli

Kannada superstar Kicha Sudeep became a huge star even in Tollywood with the blockbuster success of Eega. Sudeep's amazing performance in a menacing villainous role in the film earned him a solid fan base among the Telugu film lovers. Not many Telugu fans know that Sudeep is also a successful director, who already directed 6 blockbuster hits in Kannada.

Now, Sudeep is gearing up to direct an epic film on the lines of Rajamouli Baahubali with a monstrous budget. What's even more spectacular is that the ambitious actor-director will be making the film in 5 languages all at once. The shooting will commence in mid-2016 and Sudeep is currently busy giving the finishing touches to the script.

Even though the star has not commented much about his ambitious venture, Sudeep said that he was fortunate to act in epic films like Baahubali and the upcoming Tamil socio-fantasy film, Puli. Sudeep said that both these films have proved that it is not impossible to grow big and even gave a ray of hope to the Kannada film industry, where the film budgets are several times smaller compared to Telugu and Tamil.

Injured Heroine is Safe Now

After being hit by a hockey stick, it is known that heroine Ragini Dwivedi got hurt on the head straight. As her forehead swelled than usual, she was rushed to hospital on Sunday evening.

Finally it is a sigh of relief of this glamorous Kannada diva's fans as she got discharged from the hospital. She was admitted at a private hospital in Yadavagiri, Mysore. It is heard that there is nothing serious but normal swelling. She has joined the shooting of the film Naane Next CM already, during whose filming she got hit.

In Telugu, Ragini Dwivedi is seen in couple of unpopular films, while Nani's Jenda Pai Kapiraju is one among them.

Record release for Ravi Teja's Kick 2 in Karnataka

Heard about the Baahubali of Bangalore?

Ram Gopal Varma, who is currently working on Killing Veerppan with Shivarajkumar has revealed that his next movie will be on the Bangalore underworld. He reveald through a series of tweets on Twitter that he will be making a movie of Muthappa Rai. Here's what he said:

"Had a most amazing meeting and a most fascinating understanding of the Banglore underworld. Banglore underworld has a far more viscous quality which explains its pan india effect nd it's links to Mumbai and Dubai based Underworld. After all my understanding what I had of the underworld I realised today that the D Company is much less in comparison to B Company. To just call it Banglore Underworld is not justified because today I realised that Banglore underworld is actually the Indan underworld."

In the tweets that followed, he revealed the name of the movie and the subject:

The name of my film on the Banglore Underworld is going to be "Appa" and the tagline of "Appa" is going to be -The Father of all Godfathers". I always thought Godfather was a fictional character but after Meeting Mutthappa Rai realised he is real and he is father of all Godfathers. Mutthappa Rai I think is the Bahubali of the Underworld. Some media ppl reporting Mutthappa Rai's son is acting in "Appa" is completely false..casting not finalised as script work still going on. Also I want to clarify except for him being the inspiration for the film,Mutthappa rai is in no way connected to "Appa" in any which way. The research I gathered on Banglore underworld in general and Mutthappa Rai in particular came from multiple sources and not from Mr.Rai. What I heard about Mutthappa Rai from others including cops and his enemies is far far more than what I actually heard from Mr.Rai himself. I gathered information about Mutthappa rai not only from the Banglore underworld but also from various sources in Mumbai and Dubai."
