'Hero (2015)' Hindi Movie Review, Rating, Story, Highlights, Public Talk, Live Updates, Hit or Flop?

Rating: 2.75/5

Story:

This is a love story that happens after a girl is kidnapped by a young man. Radha (played by Athiya Shetty), who is the daughter of Top Cop Mathur was kidnapped by Sooraj (Played by Sooraj Pancholi). Sooraj is a student of Mathur’s team.

The twist in the tale rises when Sooraj kidnaps Radha. The duo got attracted by each other and falls in love. What happens next? Why did Sooraj kidnap Radha? Will the duo get married? Forms the rest of the story.

Artistes Performances:

Actor Sooraj Pancholi looks handsome and it is sure that many girls fall in love with his charming appeal. Athiya and Sooraj’s chemistry worked out well, which made audiences to watch this movie. Athiya looks super hot in this film. Actors Aditya Pancholi, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vivan Bhatena and Chetan Hansraj performed well.

Plus Points:

The scenes where Sooraj and Radha are speaking through their eyes rather than words are superb. The power packed action sequences are the major plus of this love story. Climax ended with a good note and with a nice twist.

Minus Points:

The script of this movie is weak as it is not fresh or innovative. Some scenes could have been easily removed. Songs are not good, except the title song. Lengthy scenes might make the audiences to feel bore. Many logics were missed and unnecessary comedy tests the patience of the audiences.

Analysis:

The first half is watchable. Hero offers with some eye-catching locations, which are the only thing to watch out for. Music is just okay while the screenplay is loose and confusing. The editing of this movie is not up to the mark.

Verdict:

Hero is a onetime watcher…

Given how water politics has reigned supreme in several parts of India for many decades, a satire based on the issue comes with endless possibilities and expectations.Unfortunately, the storytelling in Kaun Kitne Paani Mein uniformly starts out with much force but falls short of realising its potential.

Water is important, and there are many ways to convey it to a film audience. You can go for a really serious documentary on conservation or you can weave a satirical story around the idea. If you’re interested in a crash course on the latter, here’s director Nila Madhab Panda’s 110-minute film Kaun Kitney Paani Mein. To begin with, it’s an intelligently executed film

Which is a pity because not just the idea, but a terrific performance by Saurabh Shukla, gets lost. As an old-time royal, who has no idea how to do anything for himself, whether it is wearing his clothes (if you’ve ever helped a very little child to dress, both uppers and lowers, you will know how this is done) or washing his butt, and how you be entitled yet not all evil, Shukla is spot on.

The love story is only one of the several strands of Kaun Kitney Paani Mein - it takes centrestage only when it triggers the climactic farce-tinged mayhem. So neither Kunal Kapoor nor Radhika Apte has much to do beyond floating around talking about soil re-mineralisation. Soil re-mineralisation? That is unprecedented for a Hindi film. Kaun Kitney Paani Mein goes where Hindi cinema rarely ever does. For that alone it deserves to be seen.

A big problem with Phantom is that it’s never fast-paced and slick like the Bond or Bourne film that it so badly wants to be. This is Saif playing Rambo essentially, but each time he picks up a gun, you want to say: “Rakh de yaar, chal jayegi.”I’m going with a generous two out of five for Phantom. The jingoistic dialogue and the film’s questionable message aside, this is boring, inert stuff. The director’s last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan feels like Citizen Kane in comparison.

The better actors in the cast - Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Rajesh Tailang and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub - are no more than mere passengers on this jerky ride.Phantom is a film that knows where it is going, but has no clue how to get there.

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub’s overtly blood-thirsty Indian intelligence agent being made to pump his fist at Daniyal’s killing games is both questionable and troubling. And that leaves us with Saif, clearly floundering after his past few duds, including ‘Agent Vinod’, which had him traverse some of the same territory. Maybe he can still stave off our enemies and save us. But it’s not happening in this film. No siree.

Yet while it remains a work of immature, even irresponsible wish-fulfillment, that in itself does not keep it from being a passable actioner. Yes, it’s Saif Ali Khan essentially playing Sunny Deol. This is a patently absurd bit of casting, defeated only by the choice of the doll-faced Katrina Kaif as a former RAW agent. The result is an exasperatingly childish film. All this talk of intelligence, but no smarts anywhere in sight. Stay away from Phantom. It gives audiences a raw deal.

What works against the film is that a powerful story is diluted by the use of too many cinematic liberties and a rather lazy screenplay which gets too convenient at some points. Also, the inconsistency. While parts of the film are compact, edgy and nail-biting, some other scenes look like they are hurriedly thrown in together.Watch this film. Flaws aside, it talks of a real concern facing all of us, even while taking a flight of fantasy.

As cinema, this thriller is over-simplified, though the gloss adds to the large-screen appeal. Saif is adept; Kat is pretty appealing (pun on the pretty because her make-up is intact even in the battlefield). Zeeshan and his jingoism in the climax gives you that proud-India moment. And, if you're still licking the wounds of that senseless Mumbai massacre, then Phantom is the balm you should reach out for.

Even though the film is an edge-of-the-seat thriller, the film does not have any 'typical' Bollywood masala. PHANTOM is not an anti-Pakistan film, but, it is anti terrorism. One cannot but deny the fact that PHANTOM does have a few traces of EK THA TIGER, but it flies high on its own merit. While Kabir Khan becomes extremely successful in establishing the film's story in the interesting and suspense filled first half, the second half seems slightly stretched. On the whole, PHANTOM is a good action film which runs high on patriotism and will appeal to every Indian worldover. Highly Recommended.

Even though the protagonists fall in love, the good thing about the film is that it avoids degenerating into a romance with unnecessary displays of love and meaningless songs — though Arijit Singh’s Saware at the end of the film is a good listen. Even the one wedding song was made an essential part of the mission. The action and thrills stay right through to the end.

Kabir Khan's 'thriller' starring Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif is super boring. The stunts aren't bad in Phantom, but they're not memorable. Still, the sounds of explosions and bullets will at least keep you awake. For the plot, there is only one word: woeful. Phantom could have been a clever film. It borrows heavily from very dramatic, real incidents that are begging to be fictionalised

There’s no depth, no layers whatsoever in what could’ve been a deliciously complex story. As a result, Ricki and the Flash is never satisfying, and feels superficial to say the least. Even the laughs are few and far between. As the film crosses the one-hour mark, you’ll be shifting in your seat impatiently, waiting for it to end. There are some things even Meryl Streep can’t do. Rescuing this flaccid film is one of them. I’m going with two out of five.

The performances are mostly solid. Real-life rocker Springfield plays Ricki's bandmate and lover. And Gummer's screen presence is credible and good. Some of the film's best scenes involve her. But by the end of the film, you might find yourself wondering if Streep (she plays and sings for real here) really is in a rock n' roll band on the side. Yes, she's that convincing.

The ending is as disappointing as it is improbable, making you wonder what the point of all of it was. There's no lesson to take away from the film, then why inject a dramatic element in the story at all? As mentioned above, Streep is the only element worth watching the film for, but there's only so much of 'Streep pretending to be a failed rocker' one can take.

The plot, as warned, is almost entirely superfluous. But ah, there is such pleasure to be found in the small, integral pieces of the flippantly constructed whole: just try saying Debicki’s name Victoria Vinciguerra out loud, like the first two words of a tongue-twister, and not smiling. My jaw hurt from the feature-length grin Ritchie elicited, and it’s good to see him, like Hugh Grant in this film, back at ease.If one must slouch, one best do it hidden by an impressively-cut suit, and The Man From UNCLE is as lovingly tailored as they come. Even if it wears brogues, not Oxfords.

The only underutilized part of the movie is Hugh Grant as a British Intelligence honcho who predictably ends up being the boss of both the spies. There's even a predictable twist towards the end and one wishes the film left that one out and focused more on the bromance between Cavill and Hammer. In any case it's a small complaint in a film that's big on entertainment. Watch it.

Another aspect that deserves being mentioned is the fact that being a period film, the makers of THE MAN FROM U.N.CL.E. have managed to do a rather fine job that is evident from the effort to get things right. With detailed attention being paid to the look and feel of the decade that was, a keen observer will easily spot in the film certain iconic looks prevailing at that time. On the whole, if you are a Guy Ritchie fan, despite its average storyline, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. is definitely worth a watch, with a lot to offer.

In this film, Reed (Teller), Sue (Mara), Johhny (Jordan) and Ben (a very slight Bell who has the misfortune to become The Thing) acquire their superpowers after a long conversation about how the men who actually do the hard work of building spacecraft never get credit that men such as Neil Armstrong walk away with. So they decide that the first people to be teleported in the machine they have built should be them, rather than NASA guys. We know the rest. Except what happens to chewing gum in fourth dimension. The mind boggles.

The action sequences and scientific theories of this film will strike as half-baked and devoid of sense even to a superhero movie novice. The antithesis, Dr Doom played by Toby Kebbell, falls flat despite showing promise early on.Fantastic Four tries really hard to be cool and witty, but the only thing fantastic about it is the way it manages to make superheroes seem unremarkable.

Fantastic Four, despite the dogged efforts of its talented young cast, has nothing. The special effects are at about the level of the early "Harry Potter" movies - lots of glowing green clouds and ice-blue bolts and force fields. The human drama is meager. Once again, the only real pathos belongs to Bell's Ben, who finds himself trapped in a stony new body and weaponized by a ruthless government. Teller stretches, not as an actor but as a digitally enhanced body. Jordan burns in the same way, and Mara disappears. Her character also has the power to make other things vanish. I would say she should have exercised it on this movie, but in a week or two that should take care of itself.

ultimately there's no fun to be had in 'Fantastic Four', nor is it bad enough to be entertaining or unintentionally hilarious. It's a tedious, laborious watch and a scathing indictment of worst side of superhero filmmaking that has exploding in Hollywood. If anything, the big guys Warner and Marvel can watch this movie and learn what not to do.
