After the failure of Hindi movie Raavan and Tamil movie Kadal; Mani Ratnam, the much respected director in India is has made a great comeback through OK Kanmani, which gained both critical applause as well as a good box office response.

Sources reports that he is planning for his next movie, in which Tamil actor Karthi has been confirmed as the ace director’s next hero.
Karthi and Mani Ratnam met recently, according to reports; in which Karthi got interested by the project and discussions are carrying out.
The film, which is now in initial stage, will start its shooting by September, 2015. No official confirmations are made yet.
Karthi worked with the director early as an assistant director in Aaytha Ezhuthu.
