What we predicted before the release of 'Baahubali' is unfortunately proved right now. Fake collections of 'Baahubali' are being circulated in various media houses. Here is the detailed story on fake collections.
* A media baron who reportedly financed Rs.60 crores for the movie published first day shares( not gross) of the movie as Rs.68 crores in his newspaper and declared that it crossed the first day share of Shahrukh Khan's 'Happy New Year', that collected Rs.65 crores share.
* The makers were alleged managing some online media houses and started pumping in fake gross, nett and share collections of the movie. Here also they projected the movie as the biggest day one grosser of India.
* Interestingly, much needed world wide Telugu version's shares were not revealed by any media house.
THEN, WHAT ARE THE EXACT DAY ONE SHARES OF BAAHUBALI?: A leading Telugu newspaper has tried to dug out the truths in collections of the movie. According to the newspaper's report today, 'Baahubali' collected a share of Rs.27 crores world wide through its Telugu version, that includes Nizam- Rs.5+ cr, Ceded-Rs.4+ crores and Andhra-Rs.9+ crores.
WHY EVERY MOVIE FAN WISHES TO KNOW GENUINE COLLECTIONS?: It's very simple to answer this question. If genuine collections are revealed for any movie, the filmmakers of upcoming films are able to implement strategies to break the records of industry hit films.
WHAT DOES MANY FILMMAKERS SAY?: Revealing hiked collection figures is one of the promotional strategies of any film. As such, it is inevitable the fake collections are leaked in media.
BOTTOM-LINE: Whatever it is, fake collections are definitely not a gesture of royalty of heroes and these collections degrade the status of the heroes. They, themselves, should intervene in declaring genuine collections of movies.
